Chocolate pioneers

Oh my god! How clever the French are. That’s what you’ll think when we arrive in Bayonne and you're surprised by how charming everything is: its medieval streets, timber-framed buildings, food markets, chocolate artisans...Yes, CHOCOLATE. Bayonne is the French capital of chocolate and one of the few places that, already in the 16th century, saw the enormous possibilities of that bitter fruit called 'cacao'. When everyone else turned their noses up at chocolate, they fought for it. Just for that, they deserve our eternal admiration! Bayonne also houses one of France's most unique Gothic cathedrals (and, as you know, France is the world champion of Gothic cathedrals), listed by UNESCO.

Beautiful (and posh) Biarritz

Biarritz is many things: the gateway of surfing to Europe in the mid-1950s, one of the pioneers of beach tourism (they started promoting it 200 years ago!) and one of the most desired places to see and be seen. We'll stroll along its promenade admiring the sea and its sumptuous hotels until we reach its 44-meter high lighthouse.

National treasure

We'll visit the colorful Les Halles market to feel the pulse of the city's daily life and get in touch with the greatest things France has to offer: its cheeses, charcuterie products, and bakeries/pastry shops. Bon Appétit!
