From hill to hill, neighborhood to neighborhood, you’ll get to know the Basque passion for giant sculptures, 200 years of architecture and why San Sebastián is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Five neighborhoods, four hours, three beaches, two emblematic plazas, a pintxo and a drink. Need we say more?
Day 2
Jaizkibel walk and Gastronomic Society
Walking is a perfect formula to whet your appetite. And walking through a mountain like Jaizkibel airs your brain, brightens your eyes and reveals to you stories of fishermen, pirate shepherd and aviators. After the walk, Hondarribia and the best private club of its kind await you: one in which eating well, and drinking better, are revered.
Day 3
St. James Way and Basque Whalers
A half-day excursion to walk, among forests and cliffs, to a lighthouse done up like a medieval castle. What else? Some crazy people who are building a 16th century ship with traditional techniques, a fjord that must be crossed by boat and a Venetian town that the writer of Les Miserables fell in love with. More? A toast with cider. Topa! Yeah!
Day 4
Sailing to Getaria
Whether or not you’re an old sea dog, we’ve prepared a Boat trip to Getaria to get to know the town and its famous fish grills.
Day 5
Stand Up Paddle & Picnic in Sta. Clara Island
Who has never wanted to paddle out to an island in a bay as emblematic as La Concha de San Sebastián? We’ll fulfill that childhood fantasy aboard a Stand Up Paddle (SUP) board, learn about the marine history of San Sebastián and have a picnic on the island in the purest Basque style: cheese, sausage, ham and canned tuna. We’ll be the luckiest castaways in history, without a doubt.
