Guide

I’m originally from Argentina, where I grew up between the province of Buenos Aires and the city itself. I later moved south to El Calafate, in Patagonia, where I spent several seasons and found a kind of refuge surrounded by vast landscapes. Some years later, I arrived in Donostia and decided to stay. It has been home for over seven years now, a place where different parts of me seem to meet naturally.

I’ve always felt most at ease in nature, in the mountains, by lakes or near the sea. That’s where I go to move, to think, to reconnect. Running in the mountains is one of those moments for me, a way of observing, of being present. At the same time, I have a curious and restless side that needs cities, culture, and creative energy. I like to balance both worlds, and in Donostia I found that mix. Here, that connection to nature coexists with a strong cultural life and a way of understanding food that changed how I see it. Simple, seasonal products, treated with respect, where tradition is still alive in everyday gestures.

I like to travel with the excuse of visiting friends around the world. It allows me to experience places through the people who live there, in a more real and grounded way. Sometimes that means camping or crossing regions by bike, other times it’s walking through cities, discovering them slowly through their food, their streets, and their rhythms.

My curiosity shows up in many forms. I study literature, write, embroider, run trail races, spend time in the mountains, or look for quiet places to sit and watch the sea. I still enjoy small rituals, like reading the Sunday newspaper in the sun or wandering through a city without a plan. Today, I move between the Basque Country and Patagonia, which feels like the right balance for me.
