Ikusnahi offers to take you on a private trip to explore the Basque Country, through our beautiful green valleys to the coast and picturesque villages.
We will begin in Urola Valley, approaching the meadows of Zelatun at the foot of Mount Ernio, one of our most emblematic peaks.
After a lovely walk enjoying magnificent views over the valley, we will continue to the Sanctuary of Loyola, a monumental and religious complex built around the birthplace of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, better known as the Jesuits.
We will continue toward the coast, through the meadows of Mount Izarraitz, enjoying an incredibly rich landscape, a natural environment that continues to captivate all the travellers who come to the area.
At the coast we will approach the flysch of Zumaia, a unique geological formation, which connects the mountain to the sea, allowing us to enjoy thousands of years of history in a 30 minute walk.
Then we will visit Getaria, a charming fishing village, birthplace of Juan Sebastián Elcano, the first man who sailed around the world in the 16th century.
In Getaria, we are definitely at a privileged place in the geography of Gipuzkoa, with one of the best preserved medieval old quarters and where we can enjoy the best of our cuisine.
To finish the day we will drive to Donostia, saying goodbye to the coast through the valley of Aia, in a magnificent combination of mountains and sea.
As usual you have the option to choose to end the day with some of our culinary activities in the city of San Sebastian.
